Elizabeth Woods, M.D.

I graduated with my B.S. in chemistry from CSU Long Beach and graduated from medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas. My residency and fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine were carried out at Harbor-UCLA and Cedars-Sinai. I was very lucky to get my medical training where I did, because I had extensive hands-on experience in real patient care situations with pregnant women. During my time at Baylor, they performed 18,000 deliveries a year, putting them in the top two in the nation along with USC.

After completing all my training, I moved to Fresno and began practicing medicine with Perinatal Associates of Central California, where I stayed from 1994 to 2002, when I started my own practice under Community Perinatology Medical Group. Throughout my 27 years in Fresno, I have been firmly committed to providing high quality obstetrical care to anyone in the community who needed my help. My loyalty has always been to the people of the Central Valley, and I have remained certain of my conviction that I should be providing care to pregnant patients in need of my service regardless of incidental things like their insurance or ability to pay up front for complicated procedures.

My office staff is my family – some actually by blood and others essentially adopted in. The majority have been with me for over a decade, and the longest tenured have been be my side since 1996. I could not provide the care that I do without the amazing team I have assembled.

I am extremely grateful to be able to continue my work alongside CRMC and hope to be able to serve the community in whatever way I can.
