H. Alex Wang, M.D. is board certified in pediatric gastroenterology. He specializes in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), eosinophilic esophagitis and enteropathies (EOE or EOGID), gastrointestinal dysmotility disorders, Hirschsprung’s diseases, recurrent refractory constipation, functional abdominal pain, gastrointestinal infections or chronic diarrhea, chronic hepato-biliary or pancreatic diseases, chronic malnutrition, and GI or liver disease of cystic fibrosis.

He received his medical degree from Sun Yat-Sun University in China and completed his pediatrics residency at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Washington University (St Louis, MO). He concluded his Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, TX).

Dr. Wang has given multiple presentations at national conferences such as Digestive Disease Week and the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN). He has published peer-reviewed clinical and research manuscripts on Nature, Hepatology, Journal of Neuroscience, JPGN, JCI, JMC, AJP, etc. He also received the Grand & Walkin’s Award (NASPGHAN).

He enjoys spending time with his family and friends in the farm during his free time. He is fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
