Karthy Thiagarajan, M.D.
Dr. Karthy Thiagarajan received his medical degree from Madras Medical College in Tamil Nadu, India. Having developed a keen interest in evidence-based medicine, he then worked as a research scholar at the Center of Clinical Neurophysiology, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pennsylvania.
While engaged in academia, Dr. Karthy realized that empowering patients with the right information and health education will profoundly impact their lives and well-being. Enjoying working with families, adults and kids alike, he then went on to complete his family medicine residency at St. Luke’s University Health Network- Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he was awarded “The Jerome Collier Family Medicine Resident Award for scholarly achievement, professionalism, dedication to quality patient care and high moral and ethical conduct.”
Dr. Karthy is board-certified in family medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. When he is not practicing medicine, he enjoys watching movies, exploring the food scene in the Central Valley and taking road trips with his wife and their rescue (and very spoiled!) pet dog.
