Stephanie Richardson, MS, RDN, CDCES, is a registered dietitian nutritionist and certified diabetes care and education specialist. Stephanie grew up in San Jose, California. With an upbringing emphasizing education and healthful living, Stephanie chose the path of nutrition.

Stephanie graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nutrition. She traveled to the Midwest to do her fast-track combined dietetic internship with community emphasis and Master’s program at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois, graduating winter of 2016 with a Master’s of Science in Nutrition. Stephanie passed her registered dietitian credentialing exam in the spring of 2017. After acquiring sufficient patient experience, she was able to sit for her diabetes specialist exam and passed in the fall of 2022.

Stephanie has developed a special interest in diabetes and metabolic syndrome. She has gained dietetic experience in various settings, including outpatient adult clinics, Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), skilled nursing, and outpatient gestational diabetes. She sees patients for diabetes diet counseling, weight management counseling, and other diets related to metabolic, endocrine, or cardiovascular dysfunction.

Stephanie is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES).

Outside of work, she enjoys keeping up with friends and family. She loves swimming and spending time outdoors, hiking, traveling, and sightseeing and, most recently, is taking up running.
