My practice focuses on taking care of pregnant women, focused on those who are at high risk and primarily through advanced sonographic imaging. We perform hundreds of ultrasounds every week, assessing maternal and fetal anatomy, diagnosing fetal anomalies, managing patients’ prenatal care, and assisting their primary OB doctors in whatever way they need. Prenatal screening of various kinds is offered, including the California Prenatal Screening program, amniocentesis, non-invasive prenatal screening, fetal fibronectin, testing for rare genetic syndromes, and much more.

Genetic counseling is also a central focus, and we are especially driven to provide excellent and compassionate care to patients whose pregnancies experience unexpected complications or sometimes even pregnancy loss. We have a close relationship with both UCSF and Stanford and regularly refer patients for fetal MRI and consultation when needed. We also have a close partnership with the fetal echocardiography program at CRMC led by Joy Guthrie and Dr. Ana Coll, with whom we help diagnose congenital heart defects and provide expectant management for these patients.

Our office is certified by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine as well as a Prenatal Diagnostic Center designated by the state to provide services for patients with abnormal screening results.

My office staff is my family – some actually by blood and others essentially adopted in – and we all have the same goal of helping pregnant patients through stressful and, occasionally, emotionally trying times. The majority have been with me for over a decade, and the longest tenured have been by my side since 1996. I could not provide the care that I do without the amazing team I have assembled.
