Ileana Cervantes, MS, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant committed to providing compassionate, friendly care. Born in Jalisco, Mexico, and raised in Californias’ Central Coast, Ileana has a diverse background that enriches her approach to patient care.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science and her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Dominguez Hills State University, graduating with honors and becoming a member of the Alpha Eta Honor Society for her achievements in Health Science. Ileana then attended Western University of Health Sciences, where she received her master’s degree as a physician assistant. Since 2005, she has been certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Since 2009, Ileana has specialized in treating patients with hand and upper extremity injuries. She has a patient-forward mentality, enjoys patient education, and continuously seeks knowledge in hand and upper extremity treatments. Ileana believes that collaboration between the surgeon, patient, and physician assistant leads to quality care and successful outcomes. She has experience in providing comprehensive care throughout the patient journey, from consultation to pre-operative and post-operative follow-ups. Ileana also enjoys the role of first assistant in the operating room for various hand and upper extremity surgical procedures.
Outside of the office, Ileana stays active. She enjoys traveling, spending time in the wilderness, and riding her motorcycle. She also enjoys coaching soccer and spending time with her family.
