Jennifer Romo, M.D. graduated from UC Davis with a B.A. in Spanish and B.S in Nutrition Science. She received her medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. Dr. Romo went on to complete her residency in Family Medicine with Valley Health Team where she received a Residency Advocacy Award from the CAFP as well as the David Youngclarke Scholarly Activity Award from UCSF Fresno Department of Family and Community Medicine. She also completed a fellowship in Health Equity Action and Leadership where she primarily focused on Family Medicine OB and prenatal care in underserved and rural communities. Upon completion of her fellowship, she received the Dr. Alex Moir Award for Inspirational Character and Mentorship.
When she is not practicing medicine, Dr. Romo will be hard to find because she will be traveling. She loves “granny hobbies” such as crocheting, baking, and gardening. She loves being an advocate for healthy lifestyle and nutrition, so if you inevitably find her, she may talk your ear about recipes and food in general.
