Omar Hanafy, M.D., graduated from University of California, Merced with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology with a minor in Psychology and received his medical degree from American University of Antigua College of Medicine in Antigua and Barbuda. Dr. Hanafy went on to complete his internship and residency at UCSF Fresno where he also served as one of the chief residents. He is trained in general pediatrics with a focus on newborn medicine. When Dr. Hanafy is not practicing medicine, he can be found spending time with family, learning to cook new recipes, or exploring the outdoors with his dog Hershey.
