Siavash Bolourani, M.D., PhD, is a board-certified general surgeon and fellowship-trained complex general surgical oncologist specializing in the surgical treatment of gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary cancers, melanoma and other skin cancers, sarcoma and soft-tissue tumors, and peritoneal surface malignancies. He provides open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical options tailored to each patient’s diagnosis and individual needs.

Dr. Bolourani earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University and his PhD in Molecular Medicine from the Elmezzi Graduate School of Molecular Medicine at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research/Northwell Health. He completed his general surgery residency at Morristown Medical Center, where he served as Academic Chief Resident, followed by the Donald L. Morton Fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at Providence Saint John’s Cancer Institute in Santa Monica, California.

His clinical and research interests include gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary malignancies, melanoma, soft-tissue tumors, molecular oncology, and cancer outcomes research. His background as a physician-scientist allows him to thoughtfully incorporate emerging evidence and advanced treatment options into patient care.

Dr. Bolourani believes that successful cancer treatment begins with listening carefully, explaining the available options clearly, and developing an individualized plan through multidisciplinary collaboration. He works closely with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, gastroenterologists, dermatologists, pathologists, radiologists, and primary care physicians to provide coordinated care throughout each patient’s cancer journey.

He is a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology and the American College of Surgeons and cares for adult patients.
