Suzanne Vartanian, NP was born and raised in Kingsburg, a small farming community in California’s Central Valley. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Fresno in 2010. Suzanne began her nursing career in the operating room at Fresno Heart and Surgical Hospital, where she spent eight years working closely with the bariatric surgical team. During this time, she also held leadership roles, serving as Clinical Supervisor and later as manager of surgical services.

She holds a bariatric nursing certification from the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, reflecting her dedication to the field. In 2018, Suzanne completed her Master of Science in Nursing and became board certified as a family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She went on to work in cardiothoracic surgery for two years before joining Advanced Laparoscopic Surgical Associates Medical Group (ALSA), a member of Community Health Partners, in 2021.

Suzanne finds her work in bariatric medicine especially fulfilling. Her favorite part of the day is seeing patients for routine follow-up visits, where she witnesses firsthand the positive changes in their health, confidence, and overall well-being in the months following surgery.
