Dr. Almodovar graduated with honors, with a bachelor of science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at University of California, Davis. And then also graduating with honors as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Science. He completed his residency at UCSF Fresno and also completed a Fellowship in Sleep Medicine at UCSF Fresno. 

Dr. Almodovar is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Sleep Medicine.

Before joining Community Health Partners, Dr. Almodovar served as a hospital physician at Saint Agnes Medical Center, providing patient care in internal medicine for a couple years. He then moved on to teaching with Saint Agnes Internal Medicine Residency Program. During his time at Saint Agnes Medical Center, Dr. Almodovar was awarded “Saint Agnes Champion in Care” Physician Award, 2021.

Dr. Almodovar also dedicates his time at Family Healthcare Network as a Sleep Medicine Physician to the underserved patient population in the greater Fresno area, and also sees patients at the University Sleep and Pulmonary Associates clinic, performing consultation, evaluation and examination for a variety of sleep disorders including but not limited to obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, parasomnias, narcolepsy, circadian rhythm disorders and restless legs.

Dr. Almodovar strives to uphold the highest standards of care, commitment, and compassion for his patients. He is happiest spending time with his wife Lynn raising their two children. He enjoys listening to hi-fidelity music with headphones and speakers, and is interested in personal finance and investing.
