Dr. Rogelio Fernandez graduated from California State University, Fresno with a bachelor of science degree in Biological Sciences and received his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. He went on to complete his internship and residency at UCSF-Fresno Family Practice Residency Program in Fresno, California. Dr. Fernandez has provided care to the patients of Fresno and Tulare counties for more than 30 years and has served in a medical director role for most of those years.

Dr. Fernandez has served the community both at the national and local levels by being a member of the National Advisory Council on Migrant Health for several years, in addition to chairing the council for two years. He was also a school board member for a rural school district for twelve years and currently serves on several other local nonprofit boards.

Dr. Fernandez has been married for 38 years to his wonderful wife and has three children and four grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing with his grandchildren, cycling and traveling, especially road trips.
