Teresa Sigala, M.D., is a Fresno native. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. She received her Master of Science in Genetics and her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California, Davis.

She went on to complete her internship and residency at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, where she served as chief resident. She lived in Albuquerque and Santa Fe until 2015, at which time she returned to Fresno to be closer to her family. For the past several years, she has been at UCSF Fresno, where she practiced in the Faculty Clinic and taught outpatient internal medicine to residents.

Dr. Sigala is a member of American College of Physicians and the Fresno Madera Medical Society. She is currently involved in a research project with UCSF to develop tools to help primary care physicians diagnose Alzheimer’s Disease in the early stages. She is also fluent in Spanish.
